The lower fairing is supplied with the heat resistant foil and drain plug already fitted. The heat resistant foil protects the bodywork from the heat of the exhaust system and engine, and the drain plug allows fluids to be drained from the lower fairing when washing the motorcycle.
Material used: GFK ? FLEXI fiberglass in white RAL 9003, with 3 x K-K (kevlar-carbon) reinforcements at the mounting points. Heat resistance of the material is 100?C. The GFK base material comes in standard white RAL 9003 and is UV stable, so no painting is required. All parts are ready to use straight away. Mounting holes are not pre-drilled, only marked.
Why fiberglass fairings? They offer up to 50% weight saving compared to original ABS bodywork and are considerably cheaper. They are more flexible and easier to fit to the motorcycle.
